Spectral theory and geometry of ergodic Schrödinger operators

About

The school will introduce the connections between the spectral, the geometric and the dynamical properties of aperiodic Schrödinger operators. Such systems represent quasi-crystals, which were experimentally discovered in 1984 by the Nobel prize laureate Dan Shechtman.

The school will take place in summer 2023, from the 31st of July to the 4th of August at the University of Potsdam. The meeting will be preceded by designated crash course, which will provide adequate background for the younger researchers. More information is found in the following webpage:

The school is aimed at Master and PhD students, postdocs and also early career scientists whose research interests are in the geometry, topology and spectral theory of Schrödinger operators.
