This is the 2nd Marburger Arbeitsgemeinschaft Mathematik, each of which is devoted to an important unsolved question in pure mathematics, with the aim of giving the participants a complete picture of its state of the art. The topic of this Arbeitsgemeinschaft is the toral rank conjecture, which was formulated by Steven Halperin in 1985 and is one of the most prominent open problems in transformation groups. Further information can be found on this webpage.
