Topological and Homological Methods in Group Theory 2024
This is the fourth instalment of the THGT conference series. As its predecessors, the conference takes place in Bielefeld in spring, and as before it welcomes researchers studying groups through their interactions with topology and homology, as well as people interested in entering the subject.

Riemannian Topology Meeting
The Riemannian Topology Meeting is an irregularly recurring activity addressing mathematicians interested in the interplay of algebraic and geometric topology with riemannian geometry. Its tradition reaches back to 2012 during which it took place at the universites of Fribourg, Karlsruhe and Göttingen. This years meeting takes place on the 9th and 10th November, in Fribourg.

Autumn School on Large Scale Geometry
Large scale geometry (a.k.a. coarse geometry) is the paradigm of studying metric spaces from "far away'', neglecting all the local information and just focusing on features of the space at infinity. The aim of this school is to introduce terminology and techniques from large scale geometry and to show how they can be used in a variety of contexts. These include (but are not limited to) geometric group theory, index theory, operator algebras, (geometric) topology.
The school will feature four minicourses by leading experts in the field, each of them consisting of four 50-minutes lectures plus one exercise/discussion session. The minicourses will be aimed at a broad audience.
Young participants are also encouraged to present their research with a short talk in a "gong-talk" session.

A workshop on Einstein manifolds
The Einstein condition is viewed by many as the "most interesting" notion of constant curvature, since there are not too many and not too few examples of Einstein manifolds. In the 1980s the brightest minds of the field rallied once more under the banner of the Besse group, as they had before. This time the result was an epochal work on the topic of Einstein manifolds. Still, there were many open questions left.
Time has passed, and more progress has been made. So let us not dwell on the past, but stride forward into the Crazy World of Arthur L. Besse!

Buildings 2023
The Buildings conference series has a long tradition starting in Würzburg in 1994 and this will be the 29th installment. The topic is not restricted to buildings and their applications but talks from neighboring areas such as representation theory, geometric group theory, and algebraic groups are welcome and have been common
in the past.

Women in Automorphic Forms (WIAF)
The WIAF conference highlights recent, excellent developments on automorphic forms in all aspects. These forms and functions are intimately related to the geometry at infinity of symmetric spaces. And hence they are of utmost interest in several projects within the SPP 2026. With the WIAF conference we bring together young researchers with excellent senior researchers in order to foster communications of new results and to identify fascinating new directions of further research on automorphic forms and their applications. This conference is specially, but not exclusively, addressed to female mathematicians.

Dynamics and asymptotics in algebra and number theory (DAAN)
With the DAAN conference we will bring together researchers at the crossroads of algebra, number theory and dynamical systems theory working on similar questions from different perspectives. Of particular importance will be dynamical systems approaches to entities from number theory and algebra in regard to their asymptotic aspects. Some of these entities, in particular Laplace eigenfunctions, as well as several of the techniques and tools play a fundamental role within the SPP 2026, in particular for Project 70 (Spectral theory with non-unitary twists).

Spectral theory and geometry of ergodic Schrödinger operators
The main goal in the spectral theory of ergodic Schrödinger operators is to understand the interplay between the underlying geometry of the space, the dynamics of the system and the spectral properties of the operator. Our school focuses on the so-called minimal or ergodic dynamical systems - where minimality is perceived as the topological analog of ergodicity. If the underlying geometry and dynamics are minimal then the system is determined by the geometric properties at infinity.
